It is never easy to deal with a family conflict, especially if there is money in between. If you both sit down and brainstorm what things they can do, there is a better chance of paying off the debt and avoiding major conflicts.
Ask yourself what is most important to you. You may be going through an unfair situation and want things to work out in your favor. However, taking legal action against your family, while fair, may also mean losing your relationship with them. Do you really want to take that risk? Whether you go one way or the other, you must be absolutely sure of your decision and stick to the possible consequences.
