Cameron Diaz is one of the most loveable actresses in Hollywood. And while most of us know her for her work in romantic comedies, that’s not the only thing she’s to be given praise for. She has also written 2 health books so far, The Body Book, where she shares her formula for becoming healthier, happier, and stronger, and The Longevity Book, where she shares her secrets to aging well. Although Diaz might not be a health guru, she talks from her own experience, and that’s what counts the most.

Diaz tried Botox and didn’t like it.

Botox is one of the world’s most popular cosmetic procedures that most celebrities have tried at one time or another. Diaz, like many others, tried it, but immediately regretted it, as the treatment to relax her facial muscles and smooth her lines and wrinkles left her with a face she didn’t recognize.

Even though it was “a little tiny touch of something,” Diaz revealed that it changed her face in such a weird way. “No, I’d rather see myself, my face aging, than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all,” she added.

She is happy with her laughter lines, and right now, she doesn’t see the point of having plastic surgery.

In fact, she loves these lines and doesn’t mind them at all, it just means that she smiled her whole life. Diaz believes that Botox is only a quick fix — you are still aging, it just fails at it. “We are so worried about the facade of things and not what happens inside,” revealed the actress.

Cameron believes the key to eternal youth is nutrition, exercise, laughter, and water.

In one interview, Diaz pointed out that everyone should make as many good choices as they can. Back in the day, before her twenties, her go-to meal was 2 bean burritos with extra cheese, extra sauce, no onions, and a large coke. And while she didn’t even gain a pound, her skin was affected. She used to have horrible acne that no amount of concealer could cover.

“I thought I’d tried everything to make my skin clear up, but I didn’t realize all that fried, greasy, processed artificial food was setting off a hormonal surge that sent my skin into crazy town,” Diaz revealed. “Once I cut out the junk, I saw such a major difference that I felt like an idiot. It not only cleared up my acne, but it also gave me this huge amount of energy.”

Even though she isn’t a fan of Botox, she doesn’t judge those that prefer to use it.

Diaz believes that Botox and plastic surgery are meant to make people feel a bit better in their own skin, and if they do, then that means the procedures worked. Even though she doesn’t like using it on herself, she admits that it makes people look a bit younger than they looked the day before.

Do you think Cameron Diaz made the right choice in ditching Botox?
