Believe it or not, but these are actually watercolor paintings
Joe Francis Dowden, a British artist who paints shockingly realistic watercolor landscapes and seascapes, states that literally everyone can create something this incredibly beautiful. As he once said, the secret of his magical paintings lies in one simple fact: he threw out all professionally written books on how to become a watercolor artist and started to spend more time walking in the forest where he could capture every detail of his future works.
We here at Bright Side were deeply amazed by his life-like, hyperrealistic works, and just couldn’t believe they were watercolor paintings. Can you?
’’Paint ’lightscape,’ not landscape. It can seem challenging to take this approach, but here is how: when you look toward a low sun, landscape comes alive. Even mundane scenes spark and fizz with life and energy when observed looking into the sun. Turn the other way and the view can be dead and flat. Seek light first, landscape second.’’
