A Photographer Found People He Took Photos of 40 Years Ago, and Now They Look Really Different

Chris Porsz has long been a street photographer. In the early ’80s, he took many vivid photos of strangers. After 40 years, Porsz decided to find the people in his photos. This is how the “Reunions” series was born. Thanks to this, we have the opportunity to compare the same people in the same locations, years apart. This series has been published as a book, and part of the money Porsz earned from it will be donated to breast cancer research.

Chris Porsz spent 10 years trying to find the man who he’d taken a photo of in 1981.

The first photo was taken in 1981 — the girls were waiting for a bus. They hadn’t seen each other since graduating from school and met for the first time after 32 years to take a photo together.

These brothers used to work in a store from 1979 to 1996. Now they’re retired but happily returned to stand behind the counter for this photo.

In the 1985 photo, the girls celebrated graduating from school. In 2021, they rode the roller coaster again.
