“You Complete Me,” John Stamos, 59, Celebrates His Only Child’s Birthday in the Most Touching Way

John Stamos became a dad at 54, and his life was forever changed. Recently, the actor paid tribute to his only child, Billy, who turned 5 years old, and he had the most touching words to say to him. We can’t get enough of the solid bond between this father and son duo, and we’re excited to share the details of this adorable birthday celebration with you.

A proud dad

John Stamos shared with his 3.8 million Instagram followers a heartfelt snap of himself holding a younger Billy up to the sky, while the little child is seen giggling with joy. The actor completed his post with a moving message in which he addressed his baby boy.

In it, Stamos noted that in romantic comedies, the protagonist usually says the phrase, “You complete me.” Yet the actor admits that he never really understood the idea of being “completed.” He then pointed out, “I get it now,” thanks to Billy.

Stamos ended his post with the most meaningful words dedicated to his son. He said, “I still have a lot to do, but if my whole life was one sentence, then Billy would be the exclamation mark at the end of it.”

The sweet celebration

The 59-year-old star’s wife, Caitlin McHugh, 36, also shared a special tribute to their little bundle of joy on her own Instagram.

The model and actress posted a sweet photo of Billy’s Spiderman/Pokémon/Sonic the Hedgehog-themed birthday party. The pic showed the little beaming family, all wearing red and posing with the colorful birthday cake. Billy stood in the middle of his parents with his arms resting on each of their shoulders.

The loving mother captioned the photo, “Billy, your smile melts me. Your hugs are the best.” She went on, praising her son’s conversations, jokes, and pranks before saying how grateful she is to be his mother.

We can’t get enough of this beautiful family. And the fact that Stamos became a dad at a later age proves that it’s never too late for parenthood as long as we’re ready and willing to shower a child with our endless support.
