9 Ways to Make Your Arm Hair Less Noticeable

A magic solution to get rid of body hair forever, sadly, doesn’t exist. But, that doesn’t mean you need to go through waxing and epilating pain for your whole life. There are easy, quick hacks you can try at home to make your body hair almost invisible over time, totally pain-free.

We at Bright Side have compiled a list of 9 of these quick remedies you can use to make your body hair thinner over time.

1. Chamomile tea

Chamomile tea is known for its amazing qualities and skin benefits. It turns out that it can also help women thin out their body hair. Boil some chamomile tea in a cup of water. Strain it and let it cool down. Now, apply the tea to your arm and let it dry. Wash it off with clean cool water. This can make your arm hair thinner over time.

2. Lemon juice

Lemon can give your arm the bleached look you desire. Squeeze some juice out and apply it on your arm. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, avoid going out in the sunlight. If your skin is sensitive, mix honey with lemon before applying.

3. Papaya-turmeric paste

For this, you’ll need raw papaya paste and turmeric powder. Take 2 tablespoons of papaya paste and mix it with 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric powder. Mix well and apply to your arm or leg for 15 minutes. Repeat once a week. This can help you with hair removal and probably get rid of body hair completely over time.

4. Sugaring

The safer, more natural, and less painful sister of waxing — sugaring does wonders when it comes to hair removal. In a saucepan, add 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice, and 1/4 cup of water. Bring the mix to a boil over low heat. Stir it constantly until it turns brownish in color. Let it cool down. Roll the mixture into a bowl and gently apply it to the area. Pull the sugar off with force, like how you would pull your wax strips.

5. Spearmint tea

According to studies, spearmint works as a natural hair thinner for women. Drinking spearmint tea regularly can reduce the level of testosterone in your body, automatically slowing down body hair growth.

6. Soy products

The benefits of soy are too numerous to list, but here is one not many people know about — consuming soy products can help you control unwanted hair growth. In fact, according to a study, soy can reduce hair follicle dimensions, making your body hair thin over time.

7. Curd-flour pack

Mix 1 teaspoon of flour and 2 tablespoons of curd in a bowl to make a thick paste. Apply it on your arm, leg, or even your face. Wait for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off with water. Curd and other dairy products are known to reduce testosterone levels, decreasing body hair growth in women. You can also add turmeric powder to the mixture. This paste will not really get rid of body hair completely, but it will help you make it thinner.

8. Pumice stone

Yes, a pumice stone helps in removing dead skin cells and keeping your skin healthy, but it can also keep unwanted hair at bay for you. It is recommended to use this stone on your arms and legs after soaking them in warm water for 10 minutes. After that, proceed to use the stone to scrub your body in circles in the shower. Use often to thin out your body hair.

9. Skin bleach

Last but not least, if you are looking for some quick relief, instead of waiting for months to see results, you can try skin bleaching for your body hair. There are ready-to-use skin bleaching kits available at the store with written instructions on them. They, however, have chemicals in them so we’d recommend using the above-mentioned points over this. But if you don’t want to wait and can’t get waxed, skin bleach is the solution you’re looking for.

How do you deal with the problem of body hair? Do you wax, shave, or flaunt your natural self?
