7 Simple Steps to Get Rid of Love Handles

Just think about how many times you promised yourself you’d start taking care of your body “tomorrow.” So if you are waiting for a sign or a trigger to get rid of your love handles and make yourself feel more confident, this is it.

Bright Side found the best way to get rid of love handles and some health problems at the same time. There is also a bonus for you at the end of the article.

1. Slowly start changing your lifestyle.

You need to understand that just training is not enough to make your body perfect. Yes! It should be a combination of lifestyle and exercises. By making changes in your unhealthy daily habits, you will easily get rid of not only your love handles, but also many of your health problems.

First of all let’s consider your diet. It shouldn’t be starvation, but instead it should be proper meals with a minimum of unhealthy fats. And don’t forget to drink lots of water! This is very important.

2. Boost your intake of protein.

Start adding high-quality protein to your diet if you don’t consume enough. This helps you lose fat and keeps you feeling full longer.

As proof, there were studies done that showed that diets with more protein helped to reduce belly fat faster.

3. Set up an aerobic fitness routine.

Cardio is essential for reducing body fat. You should start regular aerobic exercises to get rid of love handles. Also, it would be great to consult with a professional trainer who can advise you on the optimal exercise program.

Maybe you could start with 30 min of jogging or running every other day and then slowly increase the time.

4. Cut your alcohol consumption.

Alcohol and sports are incompatible. If you have to train the next day, it’s better to think twice before drinking. First of all, it is an additional load on your heart. Secondly, it causes feelings of hunger, even if you are not really hungry.

5. Do Russian twists.

Russian twists can be effective since they are more intense than ordinary sit-ups.

Take a seat on the floor with your knees bent. Use dumbbells or a medicine ball for added weight while twisting your torso from one side to the other.

6. Do side plank lifts.

Take a side-lying position with your elbow, hip, and leg on the ground. Keeping your legs stable, start by raising your torso off the ground. And slowly bring your body back down. Do your chosen amount of reps and repeat on the other side.

It is important to keep your body straight.

7. Do bicycle crunches.

Lie on your back with your legs straight and your hands behind your head, not clasped. Start by lifting your shoulders and upper back off the floor. Move your right elbow toward your left knee and then switch the sides.

You should do this exercise as quickly as possible.
