Tricks You Wish You Knew Before Your Weight Loss

Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine technique based on the concept of life energy that travels around our bodies. This technique works on several pressure points, which are connected with some major organs in the body. By applying pressure to these points correctly, you can treat a wide range of conditions and health problems.

Today we at Bright Side will tell you about the most common acupressure points for weight loss.

1. Ear point

This is one of the major appetite control points. To find it, place your thumb in front of the triangular-shaped flap near your ear. Now open and close your jaw, and find a point where it has maximum movement. Press this point for 1 to 3 minutes, 2 times a day. According to acupressure, ears, hands, and feet are the body parts that have greater energy reflection in the rest of the body, so stimulating these points is one of the most effective ways to reach your weight loss goals.

2. Upper lip

This point is located between the upper lip and the nose, in the center. Just press it for 1 to 5 minutes twice a day or when you feel hungry and anxious.

3. Knee point

Pressing this point not only improves digestion, but also helps to relieve menstrual discomfort and cramps. It’s located 5cm below the kneecap and slightly off-center towards the outside of the leg. Apply the pressure on this point using your forefinger for 2 minutes every day to help your stomach function properly. When you press it, you may feel a mild pain or discomfort.

4. Elbow point

To locate this acupressure point move a thumb-width’s distance from your elbow joint to the inside crease of your elbow. Press it with your thumb for 1 minute every day. Stimulating this point helps to eliminate excess body heat and moisture from the body, promoting bowel function and preventing fluid retention.

5. Ankle point

This point is located on the inside of your leg, 5cm above your ankle. Apply the pressure with your thumb for 1 minute every day, and release the pressure slowly. We advise you not to use this pressure point if you are pregnant.

Practice the given techniques on a daily basis and soon you will feel the change in your body. Stay healthy and control your appetite effectively and easily with the help of acupressure.
