Not for the Faint-Hearted: A Reversed Zoo Where People Are in Cages, and Animals Are Free

Many of us have wonderful memories of visiting a zoo in our childhood, and the Bright Side team is not an exception. Beautiful birds, charming herbivores, and fearsome predators that we’d only seen on TV could be seen in real life. However, some people want more than just seeing animals from a safe distance.

In Rancagua, Chile, there is the first zoo of its kind in Latin America. It’s called Safari Lion Zoo, and it’s not the animals that are in cages but the visitors. The idea behind such a strange zoo is that people get the chance to see animals in their natural habitat.

All visitors can find themselves at a safe distance from lions and take a ride around the area on a bus inside a solid metal cage. This cage is the only obstacle between the animals and the curious visitors.

The visitors can take pieces of fresh meat to attract the attention of the wild cats. Once they smell it, they don’t hesitate to jump on the buses, walking on them and looking at the people with interest.

The visitors can’t feed the animals through the cage, but they can take photos and even touch them. But this is something that only the bravest visitors can do because the animals at Safari Lion Zoo feel absolutely free, and their behavior is completely unpredictable. You should always remember that.

Would you like to take such a safari? Or would you be scared? Tell us in the comment section below!

I WOULD BE VERY, VERY SCARED BECAUSE ONCE THEY HAVE THEIR TANTRUMS, THESE WILD CATS CAN EASILY JUMP OR PUT THEIR WEIGHTS ON THIS VANS AND OH MY GOD ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. AS YOU SAID, THEIR BEHAVIOR IS UNPREDICTABLE.
