A Resourceful Woman Fixed $2,700 That Was Eaten by Her Dog

If you’ve ever left your dog alone for a few hours, you probably know what it’s like to come home and find the place a mess because your pup has gotten into something. But for one woman, that mess was a whole lot more than just an overturned trashcan or some chewed-up shoes.

The dog ate $2,000 in cash.

In a video that went viral on TikTok, Kim cries as she explains how her labrador managed to eat $2,200 left on top of a table. She left the dog alone for 2 hours, and when she came back, she found him chewing on the cash.

The dog ate the extra money her husband earned from a part-time job.

She explained that her husband works in construction and was paid $2,700 cash over the weekend for a side gig. That money was sitting on top of their table when she left to run errands. Unfortunately for them, their Labrador is not particularly discerning about what he eats — or where he eats it from!
She added that she barely saw her husband that weekend because of how busy he was.

TikTok users sympathized with Kim.

The video received 22 million views and TikTok users were quick to sympathize with the couple’s situation, commenting things like, “I work at a bank mama, just tape it all back and go to the bank for exchange.”

The husband followed the advice.

The couple followed the advice and started taping the money. Kim shared a TikTok of her husband gathering up all of the bills that are still intact and taping them back together as best as possible, using scotch tape.

They saved more than half.

Kim seemed much more at ease after she found out that the taped money hacks really work. The couple was able to get half of the money back from the bank.

Have you experienced funny mishaps with your pets or those of others? What is the most expensive thing you’ve ever lost?
