10 Princesses Reimagined As Modern Day Bad Girls
Animated films about princesses were not originally Disney's main line of work. However, things have changed over the years and nowadays, the total revenue from such cartoons is estimated to be around $3 billion a year. But would the situation be different if Disney made movies about bad girls?
Disney princesses have always appeared to be good girls with excellent manners and kind hearts. But since most of them are teens, it's hard to imagine that they have never wanted to let their hair down and have some fun.
Today at Bright Side, we'd like to share with you the works of 3 artists who tried to recreate how Disney princesses would look if they were to go wild in the modern world.
Despite her luxurious lifestyle, Jasmine has never been a spoiled daddy's girl and was always up for an adventure. The artists reimaged her as a star of R&B, a fan of basketball, and living in a high-end loft with a panoramic view.
Until she met her Prince Charming, Cinderella was the most humble and modest of all Disney princesses. The artist decided to add some style to her look and turned her into a glamorous celebrity.
After being stuck in a tower for most of her life, it's no wonder that Rapunzel wouldn't mind going wild after the escape. Her taste of freedom resulted in brightly dyed hair, tunnels, and sleeve tattoos.
Although Ariel has always been ready to stand up for her beliefs and go to great lengths to achieve her goals, she also knows how to relax and have a good time. In spite of being a daughter of King Triton, living a luxurious life has never been her main priority. Upon becoming a part of the human world, Ariel would be a laid-back girl with whom you'd definitely want to hang out, play Xbox, and eat pizza on a Friday night.
Belle is a considerate princess, who was ready to sacrifice herself in exchange for her father's life. However, her extreme passion for reading gave her a reputation of a starry-eyed and somewhat strange girl among the villagers. We bet no one would call Belle weird after her transformation to such a stunning bad girl!
Tiana has always worked hard to make her dreams come true. But maybe it's time to lay back and have some fun? Colorful tattoos and radiant makeup is certainly a good place to start!
4. Snow White
Snow White has never underestimated the importance of looking good and caring about her fans. Posting photos and selfies on Instagram is a perfect way to increase the number of admirers from 7 dwarfs to millions of subscribers.
Pocahontas has always been a rebel who's ready to fight for her happiness and true love. With modern technology and globalization, she wouldn't have to miss John Smith and would be able to make a bunch of new friends just with one click, while enjoying delicious macarons and a cappuccino from Starbucks.
Although Elsa seems like the perfect good girl, the artist believes she definitely has a wild side. Tattoos, smokey eyes, and cool T-shirt will certainly not go unnoticed and will make her the trendiest girl in the kingdom.
Moana has always been too mature for her age and ready to find out "how far she'll go." Teenage Moana in the modern world would also like to explore her possibilities and rebel against the rules and stereotypes with the help of her quite unexpected fashion transformation.
