We are now just as far away from the year 2050 as we are from 1990. Time goes by in the blink of an eye and what was as plain as the nose on our face for us, is now a riddle for the next generations. These kinds of “mysterious objects from the past” create stories that can be a barrel of laughs.

We at Bright Side dug out some posts with goofy stories about how kids try their best to understand the artifacts from their parent’s childhood.

I remember I had to show 2 high school boys how to use a pay phone. I saw them just standing there, looking at it thinking how do i use this

I genuinely feel bad for those people. I'm not even that old but I know how these things work. I'm actually a sucker for antique things.

I'm not that old either. But I do remember the time when phone books were delivered to your door, when the rubbish man had to get out and tip the garbage in the bin and when pay phones were EVERYWHERE

Yeah. They were exorbitant. In our country the cost was 45 rupees per phone call. I may not be accurate because I was too young to understand at that time.
