7 Women From the Guinness Book of Records Who Look So Unreal You Want to Touch Them
Every woman is incredibly unique, but there are women who managed to set world records, do something extraordinary, and even shock people.
We at Bright Side will tell you about 7 of the most unusual women on our planet. And at the end of the article, there is a funny bonus which proves that every woman has her own superpower.
1. The strongest woman in the world
The Polish athlete Aneta Florczyk is often called the strongest women in the world. And she is. Aneta demonstrates abilities that don't look female – she can lift 1,100 lb.
But she is in The Guinness Book of Records for a different and funnier reason. Aneta is the female record-holder at lifting people. Her record is 12 lifted and thrown adult men within 2 minutes. You definitely wouldn't want to cross a woman like her!
2. The most agile woman in the world
The most agile woman in the world, Zlata (her real name is Julia Gunthel), is famous for how flexible she is. The girl is in The Guinness Book of Records for a very unusual achievement – Julia managed to pop 3 balloons within 12 seconds just by bending her neck.
It's easy for the girl to get into a 50-liter box even though her height is 5'7". But the most interesting thing is that the girl was born like this — her tendons are unbelievably flexible.
3. The most tattooed woman in the world
Julia Gnuse from the US had a nickname "The Illustrated Lady" and became famous because 95% of her skin is covered with tattoos. It might seem that the girl just went too far with the experiment, but as it turns out, Julia's case is different. After the age of 30, she had porphyria — an illness where the sunlight causes blisters and scars on the skin. She started getting tattoos to cover them.
With her experience, she proved that even in the most difficult situations, you shouldn't give up. You should always fight for your happiness. The example of "The Illustrated Lady" motivated many people who have similar illnesses.
4. The woman with the thinnest waist
27-year-old Pixee Fox from Sweden spent around $250 on turning herself into Roger Rabbit's wife. She went through multiple plastic surgeries including multiple cases of breast enlargement and this wasn't enough. Pixee had 6 lower ribs removed to make her waist as thin as possible — 16 in.
A very short time ago, Pixee had another surgery — this time, she had eye implants, so now her eyes are green instead of their original blue color.
5. The world record for running a marathon on heels
In the US, former dancer Irene Sewell set a world record after she ran a marathon wearing high heels. The girl ran 43 km in 7 hours and 28 minutes which secured her a place in The Guinness Book of Records.
Sewell ran the marathon on 2.9-in heels and finished 2 minutes faster than the previous record holder. Finishing a marathon is tough even in the proper footwear, let alone in heels!
6. The oldest female gymnast
The 92-year-old retired woman from Germany, Johanna Quaas, is in The Guinness Book of Records as the oldest female gymnast. At her age, she doesn't just do the program on the mat but she also performs very difficult elements on parallel bars.
Last year, Johanna set a new record when she performed on bars in a tournament in Berlin. She amazed the viewers. So, age is never a limit.
7. The smallest woman in the world
A young Indian woman, Jyoti Amge, is in The Guinness Book of Records as the shortest woman in the world. When she was 18 years old, she was only 24.7 in tall and her weight was 11.2 lb. The reason why Jyoti is so short is due to the genetic condition achondroplasia.
In 2014, Jyoti Amge played one of the parts in the 4th season of American Horror Story. Now the girl is 24 years old and she lives a normal life, she travels a lot, and participates in reality shows.
Bonus: we all have a bit of Wonder Woman in us.
Every person is incredible and unique in their own way. Which achievement do you think could put your name in The Guinness Book of Records?
