14 Shows That Had Different Titles Before Getting Iconic Ones

The famous TV shows we know and love today went through many changes before they got the titles we know them for. But in the end, it seems the titles chosen were destined to become hits. These series have left a lasting impression on our lives that we’ll carry with us forever. We’ll continue to share our favorite scenes with loved ones and relive the feelings we felt while watching them.

At Bright Side, we compiled a list of movies and shows that had different names at first but were later altered, and they were so much better for it. Some of these will surely surprise you.

1. The Big Bang Theory was originally named Lenny, Penny and Kenny. This was eventually changed because perhaps they wanted to highlight science rather than the names of the characters.

2. Mr. Bean was originally titled Mr. Cauliflower, and the reason was that they were looking for a name that was vegetable-related, but they changed it after the release of the show.

3. Friends was titled Six of One. It was the name of the show during the filming of the pilot but was later changed by the directors.

4. Stranger Things was originally named Montauk because it was planned to take place in New York, but it was moved to a tiny town, so the name was changed.

5. Grey’s Anatomy was actually changed 3 times before it was separately named Surgeons, Complications, and Doctors. But later, it got the iconic title that we know today.

6. This Is Us was supposed to be named 36 because it was the age of all characters at the beginning of the series, but it was altered because the creator didn’t like the original name.

7. Wizards of Waverly Place was originally named The Amazing O’Malleys. The first episode was supposed to be about a family having a magic shop, but later it was changed.

8. Lost was first named Nowhere. It was later changed once the creators were brought into production and developed further.

9. Full House was named House of Comics but was later changed due to the concept of having a family rather than 2 comedians in the show.

10. Seinfeld was originally named The Seinfeld Chronicles, but it was later altered so that it wouldn’t confuse viewers with the existing series.

11. Lizzie McGuire was first named What’s Lizzie Thinking? It can also be seen in the bloopers, however, it was later modified.

12. One Tree Hill was first named Ravens but later changed. It was decided that it would be a TV series and not a movie.

13. Saved by the Bell was known as Good Morning, Miss Bliss. It was even used in several episodes for a while before they changed it.

14. That ’70s Show was originally called Teenage Wasteland but was later changed due to copyright problems.
