It was back in 1946 when the first series appeared on-screen. Today they take a huge and very important role in modern cinematography. Also, series have found their place in our hearts because some of them last for years, we get used to our favorite characters, and we feel as if they are our close friends whom we know everything about.

We at Bright Side don’t mind spending an evening binge-watching our favorite TV show with a bowl of popcorn. But today we have a different task — we’ve decided to find out how the characters of iconic series changed starting from their first episode to their final appearance on-screen. After all, we see them so often that we simply might not notice the changes until we look at the photos.

Dr. Perry Cox — Scrubs

The Scrubs series was on from 2001 to 2010. All the main characters of the flick have a direct relation to medicine apart from one — the janitor. By the way, initially, it was he who first auditioned for the role of doctor Cox. Also, have you ever noticed that the x-ray image in the title sequence is hanging incorrectly? It shows the heart on the right side, while the liver is on the left.

Kelly Taylor — Beverly Hills, 90210

It’s hard to believe that there is anyone who didn’t watch this iconic series in the 1990s. Perhaps none of us has seen the final episode, but many of us remember the beginning and the middle of the series. For those who don’t remember or don’t know it or who still worry about the main character, spoiler alert, we are going to tell you how it all went: at the end of season 8, Kelly and Brandon broke up and she started a new affair with Dylan.

Donna Martin — Beverly Hills, 90210

Everything turned out to be perfect in Donna’s life. She married David and made her long-cherished dream come true — she opened a trendy clothing boutique together with Kelly.

Monica Geller — Friends

The Friends series got recognition and people’s love and is rightfully considered one of the most popular television shows of all time. Even those who didn’t see a single episode, know the characters and their storylines almost by heart.

Initially, producers planned to give the role of Rachel to Courteney Cox, while Jennifer Aniston was supposed to play Monica. But the actresses refused to play these roles and eventually, Courtney played Monica, while Aniston played Rachel.

Penny — The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory was shot from 2007 to 2019 and, in total, there were 279 episodes released during 12 seasons. Xena — Xena: Warrior Princess

Xena first appeared in the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys series and turned out to be such a dynamic and interesting character that it was decided to make a separate show about her. We were all were enjoying the adventures of the female warrior from 1999 to 2009. It was then planned to restart the series once again in 2015, but the project was canceled.

Piper Halliwell — Charmed

The series about 3 witch-sisters, Prue, Phoebe, and Piper who were fighting with evil was on from 1998 to 2006. It was loved by the audience not only because of the magic and miracles shown in the storyline, but also because the producers made the focus on family values. Starting in 2018, the show got a new remake, which now has 3 seasons (the 4th is about to be released).
