My story: Photo on left in summer 2019; recent 2020 photo on right, 30 pounds lighter, at 127. I lost the 30 lbs in 4 months. About 2 years ago I tested diabetic. I was put on MetFormin to regulate my blood sugar, so I continued to pretty much eat as I'd been. My motivation to change my diet...in a years time, 2019-2020, my teeth began to decay, resulting in having several root canals. My dentist told me to quit drinking sugary sodas, and other sugary snacks. He advised eating and drinking things sweetened with Xylitol which does not promote tooth decay and does not hurt diabetics. I got on the internet and ordered a 10 lb bag of Xylitol, Xylitol can juices, and other snacks with Xylitol or no sugar. I even found toothpaste made with Xylitol that I like. For breakfast I drink a Glucose control Boost shake, mixed with a scoop of Collagen powder. I eat fruit every day before supper. For snacks between meals, I eat fiber & or protein Keto snacks. I love the SlimFast Keto Fat Bombs. And, most importantly, I do not drink sugary sodas. I drink purified water and add a zero to 5-cal flavor packet which are found in many flavors & brands, including energy giving flavor packets. They come between 6 to 10 or more in a box. I am feeling so much better, and having more energy. Days I need a little extra energy, I drink a zero calorie "Bang" which comes in many awesome flavors. Because it contains caffeine equal to 2 cups of coffee which can also cause teeth damage, I never drink more than one a day, and then only if I feel I need the extra energy for what I need to accomplish that day. I never could stand coffee.

Since menopause, I've gone up & down. 10 years ago I lost way down on a Bariatics Protein diet. I lost quickly then down to size 6, but...after I stopped eating their foods, I slowly gained back up, but at least never again did I get back to a size 16, which was the size I reached when realizing I had to do something!

What I am doing now is an easy lifestyle eating change that I can stay on forever!
