Idols for millions of fans, geniuses, celebrities — we sometimes forget that first and foremost they are just human. And, like all other people, they are not immortal.
Bright Side found 20 photographs of famous people that were taken just a few days before they died.
1. Freddie Mercury (45)
1991. This is one of the last photos of the frontman of Queen. Until the last day, he denied all rumors about his illness. He made an announcement one day before he died from bronchopneumonia that was caused by AIDS.
2. Steve Jobs (56)
Steve Jobs died at home surrounded by his closest people. The last words he said were, "Oh wow! Oh wow! Oh wow." He died from pancreatic cancer.
3. Heath Ledger (28)
Heath Ledger is smiling on the film set, playing his last role in the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus just a few days before he was found dead. He died from serious intoxication caused by painkillers (including drugs, sleeping pills, and antidepressants).
4. Muhammad Ali (74)
Muhammad Ali fought Parkinson’s disease for 3 decades. On June 2, 2016, the American boxer was hospitalized because he was in a very serious condition caused by problems with his lungs. He died the next day due to septic shock, caused by unknown natural reasons."
5. Chester Bennington (41)
Shortly before his death, the Linkin Park frontman worked with the rap-singer Watsky. 4 days after this photo was taken, Chester Bennington was found dead in his own apartment. It was a suicide.
6. Kurt Cobain (27)
Jesse Frohman took these pictures in 1994, shortly before Kurt Cobain committed suicide. According to one version, Cobain took a deadly dose of heroin and shot himself in the head. There are also theories about a murder.
7. Bob Marley (36)
