9 Adorable Celebrity Friendships

Everyone needs friends. Sometimes you have to call on someone for help, share your joy and sadness, or just talk for a bit. Celebrities aren’t an exception in this regard, although most often they make friends with their colleagues.

We at Bright Side would like to show you several wonderful examples of long and strong friendships between famous people.

Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek

These two beauties became friends when shooting for Bandidas. They are typical best girlfriends, having similar haircuts and giving each other funny pet-names. Penelope says that before both of them had kids, they spent most of their free time together. It’s no wonder they’ve got along so great, given Penelope’s hot Spanish temperament and Salma’s equally fiery Mexican one.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney

How could they not have become friends after their common work in Ocean’s Eleven? The actors have been helping each other, shooting together, and just enjoying each other’s company for many years now. Brad Pitt says about George, ’He’s a lot of fun, he keeps everyone together.’ And though there are rumors that the star friends have had an argument over money, we would like to believe that a friendship such as this will not end that easily.

Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston

The screen friendship of these lovely ladies has grown into a very real one outside the scenes. Jennifer describes her best friend as a truly caring and loyal person. Her own words are, ’I’ve slept in her guest bedroom a lot! Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she’s been there for me through thick and thin.’

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck

Matt and Ben are a brilliant example of a true friendship. They’ve known each other from teenage years, and still spend a lot of time together. The actors live in the same neighborhood, are active in each other’s families, and see each other almost every day. Makes you wonder if it was writing the screenplay for Good Will Hunting that made their friendship so steadfast.

Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz

The ladies got to know each other during the shooting of Charlie’s Angels and have been best friends ever since. Drew has even confessed recently that her pet name for Cameron is Poo Poo. Neither of the girlfriends lets anyone talk bad about the other — once, Cameron even burst and left a radio interview after the anchorman asked a provocative question about Drew. Also, Barrymore was a bridesmaid at Diaz’s wedding.

Bradley Cooper and Gerard Butler

These guys are not old friends, but it seems their friendship is a really good one. For example, they love to have a drink together or go to a tennis game in similar suits. By the way, unlike many other star friends, they don’t share a single movie, so they dream of shooting together one day in a comedy or action picture. Gerard says they’d like to play enemies in the latter because that way they could beat the living crap out of each other. As brutal as ever!

Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman

Long before they became famous actresses, Naomi and Nicole were friends during auditions in Australia. The Hollywood beauties have been through a lot together, and never let each other down. Kidman helped Watts adapt when she moved to the US from Australia, and Naomi supported her friend through her difficult divorce with Tom Cruise. What else do you need to prove the existence of friendship between women?

Tobey Maguire and Leonardo Di Caprio

Di Caprio and Maguire are childhood friends. They’ve been supporting each other for 25 years. The actors confess that they discuss the roles and projects they would like to participate in. Their friendship was also tried by success — Di Caprio became the world’s favorite boy after his role in Titanic, and Maguire’s moment of glory came a bit later with Spider-Man. However, the two friends are very supportive of each other and both are happy for the other’s successes. Leo and Tobey have always dreamed of doing something great together, and that moment came thanks to The Great Gatsby. Also, they both are into basketball; they play and go to games together.

Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow

Madonna and Gwyneth are so close that they even call each other sisters. Their friendship is more than ten years old already, and Gwyneth even agreed to move to New York to support her friend when Madonna divorced Guy Ritchie. It seems like there is nothing that could have brought these two together — one is a scandalous pop star and the other is a true British lady, but here they are, adoring and adorable!
