Lance Reddick was an acclaimed actor who starred in the series The Wire from 2002 to 2008 and who played the role of Charon, the concierge, in all 4 John Wick films.
Keanu, who was his John Wick co-star, as well as the film’s director Chad Stahelski have issued a statement following the tragic news of the actor’s death.

Their statement said, ’’We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick.’’

Keanu and Chad went on to add, ’’He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, his family, and his friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.’’

Lionsgate, the studio that produced the film series has also expressed its deepest regret for the loss of the talented actor, stating, ’’The world of Wick would not be what it is without Lance Reddick and the unparalleled depth he brought to Charon’s humanity and unflappable charisma. [...]’’

The late actor’s reps have reported that his death was due to “natural causes.”

Reddick is survived by his wife Stephanie Reddick, and their son and daughter, and of course a precious legacy of impressive roles which will always remind us of how great of an actor he was.
