How Actresses We All Used to Love Have Changed Over the Years
Talented child actors are a great find for film directors: no one can make us laugh or feel scared better than these young kids with charming smiles and big, innocent eyes can. But sometimes, after achieving success, young actors completely disappear from our screens. Only the most loyal fans know what these former idols have been up to since their time in the limelight.
Bright Side wants to remember some of Hollywood's brightest actresses and learn what they've been up to after starring in hit TV shows and movies.
Mackenzie Foy (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, 2011–2012)
The world met Mackenzie Foy when the 4th part of the Twilight saga was released. Though it wasn't her first role, Foy was called the most beautiful girl in the film industry. Now she's 17 years old and continues to take part in movies. In 2018, we'll see Mackenzie together with Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead, 2010–2012)
Madison Lintz started her acting career at the age of 6 when she played Sophia in the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead series. She also appeared in the TV series Nashville and It's Supernatural along with feature films like Parental Guidance and Tell Me Your Name which was released in 2018.
Bella Thorne (Shake It Up, 2010–2013)
Anabella Thorne is one of those girls who became popular thanks to Disney. At the age of 13, she started starring in the Shake It Up series and earned enough money for her entire family. Nowadays, Bella still takes part in different movies. Most recently, Bella has worked on Midnight Sun, a film she and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick both star in.
Amanda Bynes (The Amanda Show, 1999–2002)
Amanda Bynes was one of the most promising young actresses in the '90s. At the age of 13, she became the main hero of her own show on Nickelodeon. Later, a few more popular films were released like She's the Man and Love Wrecked. In 2010, Amanda disappeared from screens completely. Today, she tries to live without the paparazzi's attention and doesn't wish to continue her acting career.
Mandy Moore (The Princess Diaries, 2001)
Singer and actress Mandy Moore began her career at the early age of 9. When she was 12, she landed her first film role. After A Walk to Remember was released, Mandy was at the peak of her success. She also "gifted" her voice to the fictional character, Rapunzel in the cartoon of the same name. Today, the actress continues to appear on the hit TV show, This Is Us on NBC.
Jamie Lynn Spears (Zoey 101, 2005–2008)
Jamie Lynn, just like her sister, Britney, started her career at Disney studios. But because of her unplanned pregnancy, she had to quit the film industry and devote her time to her baby and family. Now, Jamie Lynn is raising 2 children and in 2014 released her music album, The Journey.
Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill, 2006)
Jodelle Ferland started acting as a 4-year-old girl. At first, she took part in different popular ads but was later noticed by big film directors. It turned out that her angel-like appearance was really suitable for horror movies: her look could really frighten people. Today, Jodelle is 23 and she continues taking part in movies.
Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire, 2003)
Singer and actress, Hilary Duff became famous thanks to Disney's Lizzie McGuire. After the series ended, she continued on. Agent Cody Banks, The Lizzie Mcguire Movie, Cheaper by the Dozen, and other movies were a huge success at the box office. In recent years, Duff has been preoccupied with her music career and in 2015, her album Breathe In was released, followed by Breathe Out. This year, we'll see Hilary in The Haunting of Sharon Tate, a mysterious film where Hilary plays Sharon Tate, film director Roman Polanski's murdered wife.
Noelle and Cali Sheldon (Friends, 1994–2004)
2 babies were playing Emma Geller in the Friends series: twins Cali and Noelle. After the series, the sisters took part in several projects but currently, these 16-year-old girls don't have any serious roles.
Madison De La Garza (Desperate Housewives, 2004–2012)
Everyone's heard about this popular series and many of us watched it several years ago. It's hard to believe that the plump little girl who played Eva Longoria's daughter is already a gorgeous 16-year-old woman. Madison keeps building her career in the film industry and her older sister, Demi Lovato helps her a lot.
Daniella Baltodano (Desperate Housewives, 2004–2012)
The younger daughter of Gaby and Carlos Solis is a small girl too. She's now 14 and seems to be plunging into her acting career. Daniella tries to stay in touch with her series sister and posts pictures of them together from time to time.
Daveigh Chase (The Ring, 2002)
Daveigh Chase is that girl who scared the living daylight out of us crawling out of a TV set at the beginning of the film, The Ring. Before this film, Daveigh had already taken part in Donnie Darko and other great movies. Now, the 27-year-old actress continues to act in various films but there are no serious roles in the works.
Ariana Richards (Jurassic Park, 1993)
It's a huge deal for actors to work with the director, Steven Spielberg. And Ariana had a chance to work with him twice during Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Yes, she's that girl who tried to escape from the dinosaurs alongside her brother. Now Ariana doesn't take part in films but she's preoccupied with art. It's said that one of the pictures that she drew is hanging on Spielberg's office wall.
Lindsay Lohan (The Parent Trap, 1998)
One of the brightest young stars of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Lindsay Lohan, stole the hearts of many in The Parent Trap, a family comedy. After that, she took part in successful films such as Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Herbie Fully Loaded, and Georgia Rule. But later, the actress was involved in several serious scandals that almost ruined her future chances of success. But Lindsay doesn't give up and continues to star in at least one movie a year.
