We all have friends that we may not see all the time, but when we do, we pick up where we left off. It’s as if no time has passed at all. The Mother of Dragons and the Dothraki King have been friends for nearly a decade. They don’t get to see each other as much as they would like, but they have supported each other wholeheartedly throughout the years.

Bright Side loves to see real and loving friendships like Emilia Clarke’s and Jason Momoa’s.

Their friendship began whilst filiming Game of Thrones.

Emilia told the story of when she and Jason first met. Emilia and Jason met in Belfast in the lobby of a hotel. Emilia walked in, it was late, and she was really tired, and from the other side of the enormous lobby she hears “wifey!” and Momoa came bounding across towards her, picked her up, and rugby tackled her to the floor.

In an interview, Emilia spoke about her GoT experience and her on-screen husband, Jason Momoa. She said, “He’s one of those incredibly rare people whose personality and spirit is as big as he is. He took care of me, too, in an environment that I didn’t know I needed to be taken care of.”

Whenever Momoa is in London he visits Emilia.

The two reunited in London. Emilia wrote: “When life is so good that your sun and stars is in your city...you lose your eyes and gain 5 grins. YOU ALWAYS MOTHER OF DRAGONS MAIN MAN.”

When the two appeared on The Graham Norton Show, Jason said whenever he comes to England, he’ll call. On a different visit to Graham Norton’s show, Jason was asked if fans go crazy when they see the two of them. He replied, “I go crazy when I see her.”

Jason was there for Emilia during her health scare.

In 2019 Emilia Clarke opened up about her battle for her life when she had an aneurysm after filming the first season of Game of Thrones.

When Jason Momoa was asked about it, he said, “I’ve been a part of that whole situation for a very long time. We’ve had so many scares, and I think it’s beautiful that she’s so brave in helping the world and trying to raise awareness. We almost lost her numerous times. I love her to bits, and she’s going to do great things and teach the world.”

Momoa posted a photo of the two reuniting again with the caption: “Crazy mad insane LOVE for this queen, it’s truly like bubbles of giggles are in our bellies when we are together. It’s a shame we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like, but when we do, I feel like a KHAL love u always forever. Yer Jalan Atthirari Anni.” Which is Dothraki for “moon of my life.”

Do you and your BFF share similarities to Clarke and Momoa?
