Curvy and full lines are able to change the look of any piece of clothing. Even though models’ tall and straight bodies are thought to be perfect, in real life it’s hard to find many women with these proportions. But these celebrities decided to take this challenge and brought their own twist to wearing these mind blowing designer dresses.

Bright Side invites you to compare these 21 stunning looks with us. Let’s see who nailed it better, models or celebrities!

1. Prabal Gurung / Candice Swanepoel

This elegant black dress looks pretty modest, so Candice Swanepoel spiced things up with open shoulders and an exposed collarbone to make the dress look outstanding.

2. Oscar de La Renta / Selena Gomez

With her ombre earrings and pastel pink mule sandals, Selena turned this flashy dress into the sweetest outfit. Ah, and the blue nails are just the cherry on top!

3. Valentino / Gemma Chan

Shorts aren’t really popular when it comes to red carpet fashion, though this didn’t deter Gemma Chan. The skirt of her voluminous deep blue dress revealed a pair of bold shorts, that matched perfectly with her elegant shoes and radiant makeup.

4. Elie Saab / Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld attended a 2019 Oscar party in a very rich, textured, peach-colored mini-dress. Her clear high heels and natural makeup let the dress attract the whole public’s attention.

5. Halpern / Tiffany Dena Loftin

In this juicy-colored dress, it’s impossible to miss Tiffany Dena Loftin! She made the look deeper and more elegant with her beige strappy heels and chunky earrings.

6. Rodarte / Kirsten Dunst

This film star left the look almost identical, but brought some flowers to make the result even more feminine.

7. Ralph & Russo / Logan Browning

Logan Browning wore the shortened version of this dress to reveal her matching gold color shoes. We have to admit, this version of the dress just looks simply stunning.

8. Jason Wu / Diane Kruger

An extra panel of rosettes let Diane Kruger hide all the necessary things and brought depth to the dress. Nothing extra — just exactly what was needed for the red carpet!

9. Zuhair Murad / Molly Sims

It seems like this gorgeous dress, with its plunging neckline, was made for Molly Sims. It just looks too good on her! The top of the dress has rows of embroidered bead work on sheer fabric, making her look truly irresistible.

10. Oscar de La Renta / Lupita Nyong’o

The dress looks so light, as if it almost has no weight, but Lupita Nyong’o added some weight with her back strappy shoes and big diamond earrings. Anyway, she proved that angels do exist!

11. Elie Saab / Lily Collins

This floor length sophisticated dress keeps its surprise in the black, purple, and pink gradient skirt. Lily Collins went for minimal details in her accessories and makeup, which gives her an effortless, but very appealing, look.

12. Alexis Mabille / Araya Hargate

If you are pregnant, it doesn’t mean you are bound to wear only loose clothing! In 2017 Araya Hargate challenged everyone’s stereotypes about maternity style. She rocked her fitted dress with her pregnant belly underneath.

13. Zuhair Murad / Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez already has a very bright appearance, but her radiant glowing dress emphasized it even more. Bouncy curls, low-key color, and she looks as alluring as ever.

14. Michael Kors / Gigi Hadid

During the launch of the latest Wonderlust Fragrance Campaign, Gigi Hadid joined Michael Kors to bring Fantasy Island to New York. Her ’90s-inspired dress, with her cool seashell bag, makes her beach party ready. And these feather accents and leather shoes instantly draw our attention!

15. Ralph & Russo / Priyanka Chopra

16. Celine / Lady Gaga

The metallic dress with dramatic ruffles at the side just describes the whole personality of Gaga herself. Her accessories made the look even more sparking and luxurious.

17. Balmain / Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner usually never holds back on her looks, and this time is no exception. Her oversized pink jumpsuit with attached gloves, topped with a white belt and shoes, makes the look rather complicated, but that’s the whole idea.

18. Giorgio Armani / Juliette Binoche

Simply elegance and nothing else. Juliette’s black velvet gown with a long-sleeved gold top, perfectly fits her body, emphasizing all the beautiful curves of her figure.

19. Marc Jacobs / Lili Reinhart

Just looking at this dress can make us feel happy, like we are on a fresh spring day. Lili Reinhart went for minimum accessories and soft makeup, which all together give her a very gentle vibe.

20. Moschino / Camila Mendes

This dramatic dress was inspired by Pablo Picasso. The whole look seems a bit too overloaded on the model. But Camilla wore the dress with minimal accessories — just earrings and a ring, which revealed its true beauty.

21. Giambattista Valli / Kendall Jenner

Kendall’s outstanding shape brings a bit of volume to this dress and makes it stand out more.

I think they look better because they added something to the dress. And I mean something more than just their gorgeous faces haha

Agree. Although the models wear the dresses the simplest way to really showcase the beauty of it, not their bodies or faces

The reason this looks better on celebrities other than the models is because it is about the clothing not the models. So the models did their job and didn't take away from the outfit.
