Instead of Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez Chose Someone Very Close as Her Date for the Met

Everyone was surprised when J. Lo wasn’t accompanied by her other half, Ben Affleck, during one of the most glamorous events of the year, the Met Gala. Instead, she spent her night with another date who looked no less gorgeous than the star herself.

Ben couldn’t make it.

It was reported that Ben had to skip the huge night, that took place in New York, and instead stay in Los Angeles because of ’’work commitments he could not get out of.’’

And instead of going solo, Lopez took the chance to invite her younger sister, Lynda, as her plus one for Stella McCartney and Baz Luhrmann’s Met After Party.

51-year-old Lynda posted a sweet pic of the night, where she is posing with her famous sister who tenderly placed her head on her shoulder.

Lynda captioned the photo ’’#Aboutlastnight Stayed up late wayyyy too many nights this week... #mamasnightout’’ along with a red heart.

She’s very close to both of her sisters.

Lynda, who is a journalist and author based in New York City, is one Jennifer’s 2 sisters. The other, Leslie-Ann who is a teacher, is older than the star and keeps a lower profile. And it seems that the Hustlers actress has a strong bond with both her siblings.

Last year, on International Women’s Day, the 53-year-old posted a throwback pic surrounded by Lynda and Leslie-Ann. She captioned it, ’’Each and every day I am inspired by so many talented, incredible and amazing women.’’ J. Lo added, ’’We truly make the world go ’round. She and Ben are an iconic duo.

Ben couldn’t be with his wife this time around, but when they are together the couple usually steals all the spotlights during fancy Hollywood events. And one of the glamorous pair’s latest appearances was at the Grammys this year, where Ben’s facial expressions went viral.

Speaking of that night, the actor admitted ’’I had a good time at the Grammys. My wife was going, and I thought, ’Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’’’ Having said that, Ben also admitted that J. Lo handles those public appearances way better than he does, saying, ’’I don’t keep up. My wife does, obviously.’’

He might not always feel super comfortable on the red carpet, but Ben surely didn’t mind showing how much he loved his wife while the cameras were on during this recent premiere.
