With a career spanning over 30 years and some unforgettable roles, Sandra Bullock has won us all over. But now, she’s dealing with losing her “greatest love,” and people are standing by her with love and support. Yet, amid her tough times, some are stirring up a debate, urging Sandra to return her Oscar.

World recognition and an Academy Award

In the 2000s and 2010s, now a well-established actress, Sandra appeared in her most iconic and famous roles. For example, the comedy Miss Congeniality, a box office hit, Gravity with George Clooney on her side, and the biographical drama The Blind Side. For the latter, Sandra received an Academy Award for her role as a woman who adopts a boy and later becomes a successful football player.

In the late 2010s, Sandra Bullock continued to star in several successful movies, including Ocean’s Eight, where she portrayed a mastermind, the supernatural thriller Bird Box, and The Lost City. Her portrayal of a romance writer in the action-adventure comedy will also be one of her last roles, at least for a while, along with her supporting role in Bullet Train. Throughout her acting career, she has appeared in 49 movies.

During her long and successful career in the movie industry, Sandra also had relationships with some of her Hollywood colleagues. She dated and was engaged to her former co-star Tate Donovan for 3 years, then later had a very private romance with Matthew McConaughey. Although the 2 broke up after 2 years, they are still very good friends up to this day.

In 2015 Sandra Bullock also met her partner, photographer Bryan Randall. “I found the love of my life. We share 3 beautiful children — 3 children, including his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever,” Sandra shared her feelings in an interview.

However, Bryan was suffering from ALS, and he had recently passed away, leaving Sandra and their children deeply affected by his absence. In the statement released following his death, it was written, “It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”

Sandra Bullock is currently dealing with an incredibly tough situation. She not only recently lost her partner, Randall, but she’s also getting backlash for her role in the popular movie The Blind Side. The star is facing criticism because of a recent controversy surrounding the true story that the film is based on.

Just a few days ago, the news came out that Michael Oher, the real person the movie portrays, has filed a petition claiming that the Tuohy family, depicted in the film, never actually adopted him. He says they used him for their own financial gain. When people heard about this unexpected turn in what was considered a feel-good story, a lot of them got upset with Bullock.

Many social media users are demanding some sort of punishment for her, even though she had nothing to do with the allegations and wasn’t aware of them. On Twitter, people have even called for her to lose the Oscar she won. Some wrote, “I demand we revoke Sandra Bullock’s Oscar and give it to Meryl Streep”; others said, “So Sandra Bullock should have to give back her Oscar right, and man, do we need to start checking these good feeling stories.”

While many have criticized Bullock amid the controversy, her supporters have stood up for her as she navigates this tough time. “Not y’all calling for Sandra Bullock’s Oscar to be revoked. It ain’t her fault the real-life people were exploitative scammers and thieves.”

In the midst of this controversy, we’re all showing our utmost love and support to Sandra as she bids farewell to her late partner.

Ridiculous, she won that Oscar based on her skills and the current furore has nothing to do with her acting. She wasn't a party to the alleged misdeeds of those involved she just acted a role based on the story that was out there at the time
