Blockbuster movies often make it big because of iconic, jaw-dropping, and sentimental props and costumes. Some people can even identify a film by just looking at an object featured on the screen. These pieces symbolize a significant part of the story, and it’s pretty tempting for actors to hold onto them even after filming. It’s like a trophy or souvenir.

Bright Side always believes in movie magic. That’s why we gathered a few stars who cannot get enough of the films they played in. They loved them so much that they took home some of their characters’ trinkets.

As a fashion icon, it’s impossible for Elle Woods, err, Reese, to give up her dazzling designer outfits. That’s why she decided to bring them all home. This included a whopping 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes.

On Legally Blonde’s 15th anniversary, Reese recreated a few of Elle Woods’ signature looks and shared them with fans of the cult classic.

Troy and Gabriella were moving onto the next level of their relationship when he surprised her with a “T” monogram necklace in High School Musical 2. To the delight of the show’s fans, the onscreen duo became off-screen lovebirds.

Even though the real-life couple split 12 years ago, Vanessa shared in an interview that she still has that Wildcat spirit and keeps the necklace in a little bag.

3. Margot Robbie took home a few of Harley Quinn’s clothes in Birds of Prey.

For Harley Quinn’s second movie, Margot Robbie donned a totally different costume from what she wore in the Suicide Squad. We all probably remember this very iconic outfit, with girls worldwide wearing it for cosplay and Halloween.

Then again, her new outfits for Birds of Prey were equally loud and colorful ensembles that did not survive the clutches of Margot. After the film wrapped up, she took a pair of shorts and some accessories of Harley’s. Her co-star Jurnee Smollett called dibs on her signature “Good Night” bat.

4. Chris Hemsworth got a bunch of Mjölnirs after wrapping up Thor.

One of Earth’s mightiest heroes might have gotten too many hammers. Thor actor Chris Hemsworth shared that he has 3 of the god of thunder’s weapons, 2 Mjölnirs and a Stormbreaker, in his home, where his family enjoys putting them in different locations as a joke.

5. Gabrielle Union still has that iconic Clovers ensemble from Bring It On.

19 years later, Gabrielle Union’s iconic “Clovers” cheerleader outfit from Bring It On still fits. She even shared it on Instagram in a twinning moment with her daughter Kaavia, who wore a cute mini version.

The charming and goofy Star-Lord wouldn’t be complete without the red leather jacket he wears on missions with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris Pratt swiped the costume along with other pieces from Star-Lord’s wardrobe after the filming of the first movie came to an end.

However, Chris didn’t intend just to keep the outfit. He dresses as Star-Lord when visiting sick children in hospitals to cheer them up.

7. Ian McKellen got Bilbo’s house key as a keepsake from The Hobbit.

Sir Ian McKellen never tired of playing the wizard Gandalf the Grey for over 13 years. His love for The Lord of the Rings film series led him to have a penchant for keeping memorabilia from the set.

He admitted in a forum that he got Bilbo Baggins’ keys to his front door and a bunch of golden coins from Smaug’s lair. He said, “I think my favorite set, that I didn’t act in, was the golden [lair], where the dragon was hiding. Hundreds of thousands of golden coins, specially made. If you don’t tell anyone, I can tell you that I have some of those coins.”

8. Kristen Stewart still has Bella’s wedding ring from Breaking Dawn Part 1.

If you were a teenager or even a fan in the early 2010s, the wedding of Bella and Edward in Breaking Dawn was the biggest thing in cinema. From her iconic bridal look, the thing that caught the attention of the audience was the diamond-clustered engagement ring.

Kristen felt exceptionally sentimental and shared why she kept the rings from the Twilight movies, “I kept the rings. The rings are really important to me... I love those things.”

Jennifer Lawrence found fame primarily because of her portrayal of the main protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, in The Hunger Games. There’s no better way to cap a successful movie franchise than to snag Katniss’ memorable stuff.

She admitted to having taken 3 items from Katniss’ signature look: her original bow, the brown leather jacket, and a pair of hunting boots. She must’ve taken notes from Cinna.

11. James Caan got to relive Paul Sheldon’s Misery with his typewriter.

Novelist Paul Sheldon didn’t quite get a happy ending in Misery, but at least his actor, the late James Caan, found a way to save his classic black Royal 10 typewriter. In a reunion with co-star Kathy Bates, they both admitted having taken souvenirs from the set. “I have the typewriter,” James shared. “I think I have the sledgehammer. I think,” Kathy chimed in.

Chris Evans sure did deliver a convincing performance as the bad guy in Knives Out. However, his rustic and even homey attire became a favorite of the audience too. Chris’s unforgettable knit sweater became significantly influential to fans and, eventually, an internet favorite.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Chris can be seen wearing the exact sweater worn by Ransom Drysdale while carrying his dog at home. In fact, he kept all of Ransom’s sweaters for himself.

After 8 films in 11 years, Daniel Radcliffe finally had to say goodbye to one of the most successful and long-running franchises. The actor gained popularity by playing the “boy who lived” in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and in succeeding films.

This didn’t stop Daniel from snagging Harry’s most prized possession, his round spectacles. He confessed in a 2010 interview that the glasses were given as a gift to him. Ironically, he doesn’t wear them anymore because he’s allergic to them.

14. Robert Downey Jr. asked to take home the giant “A” from the Stark Tower in The Avengers.

The Avengers was the most significant milestone for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It introduced us to a group of Earth’s mightiest heroes who saved New York from invaders. The most notable scenes from the film happened inside of Stark Tower, which they used as their headquarters.

It may be fair for Robert Downey Jr., aka Tony Stark, to take home the 30-foot-tall “A” from his own tower. He only meant it as a joke, but, apparently, the producers took the request seriously and had it sent to his office.

Which of these are your favorite characters? Which of their take-home mementos stood out?
