Chris Evans Saved His Dog From a Shelter Like a True Superhero, and They’ve Been Inseparable Ever Since

There are many photos that show Chris Evans’ devotion to his dog. And fans love witnessing their bond because it’s so sincere and full of love. When you look at them, you have an immediate urge to get a dog and enjoy a peaceful life together.
We at Bright Side enjoy happy stories and would love to share a new one dedicated to Chris Evans and his dog, Dodger.
Chris Evans does good things and gets the same in return.
Chris Evans is the dream guy for many women. And it’s not just due to his appearance, but because he has a kind heart too. He tries to be a superhero, not just in the movies he acts in, but in real life as well. In the past, he’s visited sick kids with Chris Pratt at hospitals and continues to organize charitable events.
But there’s one more good thing that Evans did. He rescued a dog and life paid him back with good things. Dodger became his best friend and continues to give the actor lots of pure love.
Chris didn’t expect to rescue a dog.
Their meeting wasn’t planned. Captain America was filming in an animal shelter when the actor saw some dogs. He asked if they were from the shelter and if they were up for adoption and as it turned out, they were. Chris was walking up and down the aisles when he saw one dog in particular. It was obvious for the actor that the animal didn’t belong there.
Evans wrote on his Twitter that the dog had been trying so hard to stay seated but it was clear that he wanted to get out: “I knew right away that he was coming home with me, so I took this video to always remember our first hello. Rescue dogs are the best dogs!!”
Evans has a lot of fun with his little friend despite the small accidents that sometimes happen.
Dodger has a funny habit. He likes to play on Chris Evans’ niece who is just a kid — the dog is even bigger than she is. But they have a lot of fun together. As proof, Evans showed a video of a lovely family scene where they’re playing together.
Evans spends lots of time with Dodger. The actor shared that playing with the dog is like real exercise and added, “He’s up for anything. God dogs, they’re such great animals. I really can’t say enough about dogs, I’m a dog lunatic.”
They even sleep together on a pillow and wake up face-to-face.
Dodger brings lots of fun to his owner. Recently, Evans confessed why his dog has a bad haircut: “It went great, and so I got a little confident and put on a shorter attachment and it just exploded in my face and I kept trying to fix it and eventually, I was like, ’I just gotta cut my losses.’”
Also in the same interview, Evans said that now he has an Instagram account: “I have too many pictures of my dog.” This is really sweet of him and we wish many happy days to them both!
