I do love her.
“I Was Barren,” Jennifer Coolidge, 61, Reveals She Was a Hit With Younger Guys but Chose to Rock a Single and Child-Free Life
With her big personality and unforgettable looks, Jennifer Coolidge is one of the most memorable comedic Hollywood actresses of the past few decades. But unlike her bigger-than-life characters, Coolidge has kept a low profile and rarely gives away details concerning her love life. Now, however, thanks to the success of The White Lotus, Coolidge has granted us a closer look behind the veil of her personal life, and we’re ready to share our findings with all of you.
Jennifer Coolidge’s career paved the way to her love life.

Coolidge first landed on our radars thanks to her short but unforgettable role in the American Pie movies. Her portrayal of Stifler’s mom became a symbol of the early 2000s and celebrated older women. Coolidge showed everyone that age doesn’t define beauty and charisma, which set her up with dates for over a decade. She said, “I did date younger men after that movie. I really dated younger men for the next 10, 15 years.”

In 2020, the actress further elaborated on her American Pie popularity, revealing that the movie was still catering to her love life, decades later. “I have to say the movie has helped me out in a lot of ways,” admitted Coolidge. “There’s always someone who has seen that movie lately, and so then you get a whole new group of young guys. I’m single, so I’m really using it to my advantage.”
She considered settling down, but couldn’t find the right person.
Coolidge’s popularity with younger men dominated in the years following the release of the famous teen movies, but it seems no one special enough ever crossed her path. She explained that it was mostly due to the fact that she didn’t want to get involved with rich and famous Hollywood men, while regular guys were intimidated by her success: “Their perception of your life is so much bigger and better than what it really is. They somehow project a bunch of [things] onto you, that you’re usurping them or you’re doing something to them.”
As a result, Coolidge has never been married or appeared to be in a public long-term relationship. Recently, during a playful interview, the topic of kids was brought up. Her response, whether it was a joke or not, cleared the air once and for all: “I don’t really have any children. I was barren.”
Jennifer Coolidge is still a true romantic at heart.
To this day, Coolidge hasn’t lost her faith in love, but she admits dating has become way too complicated for her, saying, “I don’t want this to be the end of my life and my romance and all that. But I don’t know how people do it anymore. Sometimes I feel like you got this good little thing going once in a while with somebody. You get too much permission to, you know, be you. The thing dissolves pretty quick... But my feeling is, like, ’Who wants to be alone, too?’”
Today, she’s experiencing her own renaissance.

Nevertheless, Jennifer Coolidge has become one of the hottest Hollywood commodities of the 2020s. Having just completed her smashing run on the hit show, The White Lotus, we can imagine there are countless doors opening for the bombshell, especially considering that the show brought her an Emmy and 2 Golden Globe nominations. We hope she keeps slaying both in her professional and personal life, and we’re happy to be along for the fabulous ride.
