10 Celebrity Lookalikes Who Admit It, Like Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett, Who Just Play Along

Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet both said on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ in February 2024 that they get mistaken for each other “a lot.” Blanchett described how it goes: “People will say, ‘Is it you? Is it you?’ and I say, ‘Yes I think so’, and then they say, ‘I loved you in Titanic’.”

A few days later, at the premiere of her series ‘The Regime,’ Winslet told Access Hollywood that she plays along, too: “To be mistaken for Cate Blanchett is a huge compliment.”

Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith had been mixed up for years when they finally faced off on ‘The Tonight Show’ in May 2014, each drumming for a charity. E! called it a drum-off between “look-alikes.” The show’s own description of the clip:

“Jimmy officiates Will and Chad’s battle for the title of greatest drummer on the Tonight Show that ends in a surprise performance of ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’ from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.”

One mix-up keeps coming back: “Quite a few people have come over to me to ask me to say hello to Daniel Craig for them because they think I’m [his wife] Rachel Weisz. She’s lovely!” Weisz and Craig have been married since 2011.

‘Sex Education’ star Emma Mackey heard the comparison so often that The Independent asked her about it in 2020. “I genuinely just don’t see it at all,” she said. “But it’s fine. I wish people would stop comparing. Like, it’s lovely to be compared to Margot Robbie, but mostly I’d rather people focus on the jobs that we’re both doing rather than what we look like.”

On the podcast ‘Happy Sad Confused’ in April 2026, Elijah Wood sent Daniel Radcliffe a message: “Listen, as someone, we get mistaken for one another a lot.” His idea: “Why don’t we just work together?”

Radcliffe’s answer: “It’s so nice being mistaken for someone so genuinely lovely and talented, it’s very nice.” He said he’s “totally up for...a buddy cop, or is it something that we’re playing ourselves,” and asked: “if anyone out there has pitches, start writing that script.”
