Sent a ditzy coworker to 3 different hardware stores to get elbow grease and blinker fluid for the owner's (my nephew, also in on it) new car. He called all 3 stores and got them in on it by telling her they were out of that stuff and to try the other store and so on. By the 3rd store she had called the office 5 times panicking , unable to find the items at any store. Some young male employee at the last store took pity and told her the truth. For the next 5 years if anyone at the office sent her to purchase anything she looked it up online to make sure it was a real item.
