Jane Fonda and Robert Redford are the ultimate on-screen couple. They stared in 4 movies together, and it’s easy to say that their chemistry is undeniable. However, while Jane enjoyed filming intimate scenes with Robert, both when they were young and now in their 80s, Robert, unfortunately, didn’t enjoy it as much.

Jane Fonda was in love with Redford.

Jane once revealed that she was in love with her on-screen partner Redford, but she also said that during filming, Robert was always in a bad mood, and she thought it was her fault.

Now that she’s older, and had “grown up,” she knows that when Robert will come on set 3 hours late and in a bad mood, it’s not her fault at all.

Despite his bad mood and Jane feeling responsible for it, she revealed they always had a great time filming together.

Jane revealed she lives for intimate scenes with Robert.

The duo worked together for the first time in The Chase in 1966, then a year later, they stared in Barefoot in the Park. They filmed The Electric Horseman in 1979 and reunited again in 2017 for the movie Our Souls at Night.

Jane enjoyed filming intimate scenes with him and revealed that it was fun for her to kiss him both when she was in her 20s and in her 80s, as he’s a great kisser. But unfortunately, according to Jane, Robert probably didn’t have that much fun, as he didn’t like to kiss. “He’s a very good person. He just has an issue with women,” she added.

Both Robert and Jane prefer filming intimate scenes now when they are in their golden years.

In an interview, Redford expressed that love “just increases” as a person gets older, and Fonda added, saying, “First of all, we’re braver. What do you have to lose? So my skin sags... so does his. You know your body better, so you’re not afraid to ask for what you need. I think on a love and intimate level, it just gets better.”

Filming these scenes on set can be an awkward experience for many actors. For instance, Emilia Clarke would cry before intimate scenes with Jason Momoa in GOT.
