Joe Jonas has been recently in the headlines due to his split with Sophie Turner. But another news concerning him was also being heavily discussed a few months earlier. The Jonas brother had opened up about his use of injectables in an attempt to break the stigma around men using cosmetic procedures.

He wants to normalize getting injections.

The 34-year-old has admitted, “We’re all getting older, and part of that is being comfortable [in our skin].”

This is why, he explained, he gets injectables in order to reduce the appearance of aging. Joe noted that he mainly uses them on his frown lines and a scar he has between his eyebrows.

And one of the main motivations behind his honesty is to inspire other men to have open conversations about skin and also take care of it.

Joe declared, “I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from.” He added, "We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.’’

Nevertheless, the singer acknowledges that not everyone is comfortable speaking about undergoing cosmetic treatments. He noted, “There’s a lot of stigma around injectables.”

He went on adding, “I have a lot of guy friends who have gotten treatments done, but they will be hush about it or ask me at dinner if I’ve noticed anything different.”

His thoughts on makeup...

Jonas isn’t stopping here. He once expressed his happiness that society is becoming more accepting of men wearing makeup. He noted, “Guys are more openly wearing makeup, and it’s great to see. It’s like, do whatever you want, you know? It’s a beautiful generation that we’re living in.”

Moreover, the musician revealed that he has embraced painting his nails and wearing clothes that make him feel good.
