No other star beats Salma Hayek’s honest and sometimes really daring posts on social media. The 56-year-old actress isn’t afraid to show her life exactly as it is, even when things go wrong. And Salma’s latest video has left everyone talking.
The actress posted a video to celebrate reaching 24 million followers on Instagram. The clip showed her cheerfully dancing in her white bathrobe surrounded by her glam squad.
As she was making her graceful dance moves in a carefree mode, Salma suffered a wardrobe malfunction as her bathrobe slipped revealing more skin than she intended. However, the star didn’t let this moment ruin her happiness and she continued her dance. She later on blurred some body parts in the video.
The Bliss actress captioned the post ’’24 million followers, 24 million reasons to smile. Thank you all for joining me on this wild ride! I cannot contain my excitement & gratitude.’’ She also added a series of joyful emojis.
Hayek who is Mexican American, also posted the same message in her native Spanish language.
Salma’s daring posts and fabulous public appearances give the impression that she is very comfortable in her skin.
That said, a few years ago, the mother of one opened up about her struggles, noting, ’’Well I am entering my fifties, so your body confidence isn’t that good.’’ She added that, just like the rest of us, her level of self-assurance depends on the day, and some days she is much more confident with her body and her looks.
Salma also admitted that her height and body type make it more difficult for her to find adequate roles. She noted, ’’I’m quite short. I have an overly... wavy body. I’m not like the girl next door who is easy to cast.’’
The star continued, ’’I don’t fit into any of the stereotypes of a woman that should continue to work.’’

She's fantastic and I love her movies! She would be phenomenal in many more varieties of roles. The girl next door can be anyone these days, there is no one type of person who fits this position. There are far too many people of different cultures living side by side. Salma should fit into any of these roles. She's so versatile.
