Rebel Wilson Announces the Birth of Her First Child, and Thousands of Fans Rush to Congratulate the New Mom

Rebel Wilson has been very open over the last few years about her health journey and fertility struggles. Last year, she brought her fans to tears while sharing some bad news on Instagram. Back then, she wrote, “To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya.” But the sun appeared through all the dark clouds for Rebel, and we’re happy to share her good news: she has just become a happy mother.

The announcement came as a positive shock to fans.

The Australian actress welcomed a baby girl born via surrogate and described it as “a beautiful miracle.”

On Monday morning, Wilson shocked her fans by posting a photo of the baby on Instagram in a pink onesie and wrote that she was “beyond proud” to announce the birth of her first child.

The little girl is named Royce Lillian. Royce is a gender-neutral name typically given to boys that means “fame” but can also mean “son of the king” or “royal.”

“I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle,” Wilson, 42, wrote as a caption to the photo of her sweet newborn girl.

“I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making,” she continued. “But I particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!”

And she candidly wrote about her feelings as a new mom: “I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly...much respect to all the mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”

Little Royce Lillian has 2 very loving parents.

Up to a certain moment, Wilson hadn’t announced any details about possible co-parenting plans. But over the summer, she introduced her new girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, in a selfie on Instagram during Pride Month.

“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince,” Wilson captioned their sweet photo together. “But maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.” The actress added the hashtag “#loveislove” and a rainbow and heart emoji.

And after so many health struggles and disappointments, the happy couple is definitely going to be the best, most loving parents for their baby daughter.

Who is your favorite celeb? Whose baby announcement would you be happy to see in the news?
