’’It Better Be My Last’’ Rupert Murdoch, 92, Is Engaged

Rupert Murdoch’s private life is no less eventful than his professional career. After 4 marriages, the media tycoon is engaged once again, and he is saying this ’’better be’’ his last time falling in love.

Murdoch has 6 children from his first 3 wives. He married his fourth partner, model Jerry Hall, in 2016, and the couple divorced last year.

That same year, in September, the businessman met his current fiancée Ann Smith during an event thrown at his own vineyard. He shared, ’’2 weeks later, I called her.’’ At 66, Ann is 26 years his junior.

And despite being 92 years old and having an impressive fortune, Murdoch felt the same agitation and tension any young man would feel when proposing to his loved one.

As he popped the question to Ann, he admitted, ’’I was very nervous.’’ Murdoch then added, ’’I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I’m happy.’’

The groom-to-be noted, ’’We’re both looking forward to spending the second half of our lives together.’’

As for Ann, her late husband was Chester Smith, a country singer, and radio and TV exec. The widow described meeting Murdoch last September as a “gift.”

She explained, “I’ve been a widow for 14 years. Like Rupert, my husband was a businessman. [...]. So I speak Rupert’s language. We share the same beliefs.”

It seems that this couple is a match made in heaven, and their romance warms our heart because it reminds us that age should never matter when it comes to finding “the one.”
