20 People Who Know What Instant Regret Means

Buying a pair of jeans that are so small they won’t go up over your knees, taking a bite into a succulent snack only to realize it doesn’t have any filing as promised, or even ordering a decorative piece for your living room that could only be good if you lived among ants — sometimes what we expect is not always what we get, and many people have learned this the hard way.
Bright Side found the most unexpected yet funny situations where the buying experience turned out to be far different from what was anticipated.
1. “We had some pasta in our peas instead of the other way around.”
2. “What is this? A pool for ants?”
3. “No amount of Photoshop could fix this purchase.”
4. “Looks more like crust and air.”
5. “How the pillow looked on a website vs how it looks on my 9-lb (4 kg) dog’s bed.”
6. “Maybe it’s the actual size, but it must be a really small chair.”
7. “Didn’t expect much, but this just reached an entirely new low.”
8. “You should’ve ordered the tiny couch to go with it.”
9. “I swear these never used to be this bad.”
10. “So I bought this bag for my dog who is 15 lb (7 kg). It said it could carry dogs up to 20 lb (9 kg).”
11. “Don’t bother buying the chunky seal.”
12. “It will eventually grow.”
13. “I bought this to cheer myself up...”
14. “Ordered these jeans online. They arrived today and looked like this...”
15. “Wanted a backyard with a fireplace.”
16. “I ordered an ’outdoor garden watering can.’”
17. “I ordered a small. I did not expect this...”
18. “My cereal is a disappointment.”
19. “Teasing people with cake is not nice.”
20. “I know he’s a big cat, that’s why I ordered the large size.”
What’s your experience with expectation vs reality situations?
