It takes a village to raise a baby, and not many will build up the courage to do it on their own, but Andy Cohen is one of those people. The famous host didn’t want to rely on a relationship to become a parent and made fatherhood feel like a walk in the park. Just recently, he welcomed his new bundle of joy, making him a single dad of two.

Andy Cohen, the star host of Bravo

Andy Cohen has been with Bravo for a very long time. He was the executive vice president of Development and Talent for the company until 2013. He was also the executive producer of Top Chef.

In addition to being the host of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he is also one of the executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise. In other words, he is a successful man in his career.

Andy didn’t want to wait to become a parent.

In his interview with People, Andy expressed that he likes being alone. He kept his love life and relationships away from the spotlight and private. However, he did say that he would’ve probably been married by now if same-sex marriage had been legal.

At the time, he didn’t want to delay becoming a father any longer, even if he did it as a single parent. And now, any partner requires the approval of Benjamin.

He welcomed a new baby girl, Lucy Eve Cohen.

Andy Cohen just added a member to his family. To introduce her to the world, Andy, the Bravo show host who is 54 years old, posted a photo on his Instagram of himself holding his new baby girl.

His caption said, “HERE’S LUCY!!!!! Meet my daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen!” He announced, “She’s 8 pounds 13 oz and was born at 5:13 pm in New York City!!!”

Andy expressed public gratitude for the woman who gave birth to Lucy.

He welcomed Lucy via a surrogate mother. Andy Cohen described that woman as a rock star, and that actually all women who do this are ones. Then he continued that he was “so happy.” His excitement led him to write that “Her big brother can’t wait to meet her!”

Benjamin is a brother now.

Andy’s first son, Benjamin, was also born via surrogate in 2019. He is now 3 years old. Ben was named after Andy’s grandfather, Ben Allen.

In 2021, Cohen mentioned that he was already having thoughts about a second child in his interview with Entertainment Tonight. Cohen said that he thinks about having a second baby all the time. He believed that it would be nice for Ben to have more family around. Even though there are always people around, a new family member is different.

The world rejoiced with Andy.

Anderson Cooper from CNN, who is likewise a father of two, wished Cohen well by commenting “Amazing! Congratulations! Welcome, Lucy!!!!”.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker wrote, “We are madly in love with you already.” You can see the loving commentary under his posts that keep on increasing.

Cohen shared another photo, showing him looking down at his napping little Lucy. “Greetings from Cloud 9 #ILoveLucy,” he wrote.
