When all else is lost, it’s your family that gives you the courage to stand up again. From little surprises that light up your day to minor gestures of love, it all adds up to a boundless relationship.

At Bright Side, we went on a hunt to gather heart-warming stories of people with limitless love for their families.

1. “Just won a year-long custody battle. Mom left the state with the little one. She returns today. Hope she likes it.”

2. “Hugging my mom in the tux she got me 13 years ago that was way too big. Tried it on today (at 26) and it fits.”

3. “Spent way too much time doing this today. The first one (a girl) is coming in a few weeks!”

4. “My dad knew I’d be in meetings all day, so he woke up extra early and made me pancakes and coffee.”

“They tasted awful but they were such a wonderful surprise.”

5. “My sister didn’t have enough tickets for me to see her graduate naval boot camp.”

“She had no idea I flew out anyway and waited at the hotel to surprise her.”

6. “My wife’s family made fun of me for wanting green bean casserole at Thanksgiving because they all hate it.”

“My father-in-law felt bad and secretly made some for me anyway.”

7. “My mom snuck a bag of homemade cookies into my purse this morning when I dropped my son off at her house before work.”

8. “I’m engaged! We don’t have my ring yet, so my mom told me to wear hers until mine gets here.”

9. “After years of having no confidence to smile, my wonderful mother saved up enough to get me invisible braces.”

“I finally have the confidence to smile. Thank you, Mom.”

10. “Back in college, working full-time and exhausted. My son is the most wonderful person.”

“He (9 years old) left these notes for me on my desk because he knows I (34 years old) need encouragement.”

11. “I didn’t have Thanksgiving with my family this year, so my boss made me a plate and said that I’m part of her family.”

12. “My spouse and I drove 13 hours to see my dad. We don’t see each other often for geographical reasons.”

13. “I turned my sister’s drawing into reality using Photoshop.”

14. “Just a daddy-daughter nail painting session...”

15. “This is me, the kidney donor, and my husband, the recipient. Thank you for all the love.”

16. I love my little sister and when I was pregnant my wish was that my daughter will look like her...It looks like I gave birth to her twin.
