Many of us are used to hearing little ones say the funniest, strangest things. It’s far from uncommon to share the best anecdotes with our family and friends, so much so that they might be tired of hearing our stories over and over again. Well, that simply isn’t the case when it comes to these Reddit users who decided to also share some of the unexpected things they’ve heard children say with the world.

Bright Side compiled a number of these anecdotes, making it clear that kids don’t mince their words — and we’re sure glad they don’t.

When my daughter was 6yo, her father worked the graveyard shift, 1130 to 8. He would leave to work after she was asleep and return after she was at school. My husband and I were having a disagreement about my money spending in the van on out way somewhere. It did begin to get a little heated and that's when she stepped in and said, " Dad, you can't say anything about money when you don't even work!" We stopped arguing and bursted out laughing!

Played a scavenger hunt with the grandboys. I told them I would pay them for how many things they would find. I ended up agreeing to pay $5 each. When we got back inside, gave each a new $5 bill. When they were leaving, I asked if they had their money. 7yo said yes but 5yo said he lost his and he didn't care. I responded, "You don't care about $5?" He responded, "I don't care about fake money." We responded "It's not fake. It's real!" To which 5yo replied very sarcastically, "Oh, ok, REAL, FAKE MONEY!"
