The first snowman may not have any differences than all the others COMBINED but is different than each one INDIVIDUALLY, so it is unique and not “extra”. By your logic, you could equally say the opposite, that snowmen #2, 3, 4 & 5 are “extra” because #1 has all the characteristics that each of the others are missing.
