David Beckham recently shared a video kissing daughter Harper, 12, on the lips. She was preparing him for Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week show. David remains loyal in his embrace of parental affection despite previous controversy.
In a sweet Instagram post, David Beckham, 48, shared a special moment with his daughter Harper as she skillfully applied his makeup before Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week show.
Despite past controversy regarding his affectionate kiss on the lips with his 12-year-old daughter, Beckham proudly posted a video of their bonding time, complete with a duet to a Taylor Swift song. The caption read: “My little makeup artist is talented and has a great playlist. @taylorswift... We are on our way, mummy @victoriabeckham.”
At the end of the video, following Harper’s application of setting spray, the father and daughter exchanged a sweet kiss as they prepared for Posh Spice’s runway show. The Beckham family has always been supportive of each other’s ventures and interests, currently in Paris for Victoria’s third Paris Fashion Week show.
In 2017, David Beckham defended his affectionate gestures towards his children after facing criticism from fans. He explained his perspective, saying, “We want to show our kids love. I got criticized for kissing my daughter on the lips the other day. I kiss all my kids on the lips. Brooklyn, maybe not. Brooklyn’s 18, he might find that a little bit strange.”
Beckham emphasized that their family is very affectionate and protective, reflecting how they were raised and their commitment to showing love and support.
