10 Celebrities Who Went Nuts for Other Celebrities
We all are amazed when we see movie stars walking on red carpets, posing for hundreds of cameras, and having fun at mind-blowing parties, so we find it hard to believe that they could be, at heart, just ordinary people. However, celebrities look and act much more like us than we think. They can even behave like real fans at times.
Bright Side wants to tell you about 10 celebrities who admire other celebrities, and we are sure you will be surprised to see how excited they became when they actually managed to meet their idols.
1. Selena Gomez / Brad Pitt
At the 2016 Golden Globe Awards party, Selena met with Brad Pitt and they started talking. Then she said in an interview that she had gone to that celebration in order to see him and Ryan Gosling. She couldn’t find Ryan Gosling, but her conversation with Brad was documented in a photograph that she later shared on her social media. The way she looks at her idol says it all.
2. Emilia Clarke / Matt LeBlanc
In 2016, the actress appeared on The Graham Norton Show (BBC), where Matt LeBlanc was also a guest. Encouraged by the host, Clarke was able to get LeBlanc to tell her his famous catchphrase, “How you doin’?” which is a shout-out to his famous character Joey on Friends. In this video, you can clearly see that she’s fascinated with LeBlanc.
3. Tom Cruise / Paul Newman
They met when Tom attended, unsuccessfully, a casting for a film Paul was directing. 2 years later, they worked together on The Color of Money, and since then they’ve had a friendship that has lasted over 20 years. When Paul passed away, Tom wrote a tribute to his idol for People magazine. “He was bigger than life to me... He will always inspire me.”
4. Johnny Depp / Marlon Brando
In this relationship, although the admiration was mutual (Brando wanted to work with Depp too), there is no doubt that the role of the fan was played primarily by Depp. He made his admiration for the legendary actor public on several occasions and seems to consider him one of his heroes.
5. Adele / Beyoncé
Adele’s admiration for Beyoncé goes beyond the ordinary. Adele told the press upon meeting her idol, “I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God.’ Can you believe she said that?” She later admitted afterward, “I went out on the balcony crying hysterically, and I said, ‘What would Sasha Fierce do?’”
6. Katy Perry / Shakira
Katy Perry has also expressed her admiration for Shakira. In 2017, she shared a video online that showed Dobby, the elf from the Harry Potter saga, dancing to La Bicicleta, a song that the Colombian singer recorded with Carlos Vives. Shakira showed her gratitude for the gesture by sharing the publication on her social media.
7. Lionel Messi / Julia Roberts
In 2017, Julia visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to attend to El Clásico, a football match between the Real Madrid and Barcelona teams. Excited to meet some of the sport’s greatest idols, she took pictures with several players, including Lionel Messi. For his part, the soccer player shared the image on social media, acknowledging that Julia is one of his favorite actresses.
8. Oprah Winfrey / Mick Jagger
In 2013, the famous American talk show host and businesswoman happened to run into the front man of the Rolling Stones. Excited, like a true fan, she took a selfie with him and then shared it on her social media.
9. Sophie Turner / Ryan Gosling
At the 2016 SAG Awards, the Game of Thrones actress couldn’t hide her excitement when seeing Ryan Gosling, and decided to take a selfie with him which she uploaded to her social media networks with the following comment: “Sorry, boys. I’m off the market.”
10. Gina Rodriguez / Meryl Streep
At the 2017 SAG Awards ceremony, Gina Rodriguez, the Golden Globe winner for best actress in the series Jane the Virgin, met Meryl Streep. They were photographed together on the red carpet, and then Gina shared the image on her social networks with the following words: “This is 3 seconds before I lost my mind. Thank you Meryl for this photobomb. Now I’m definitely lost.”
