10 Times Actors Shared the Screen With Their Own Kids and We Even Didn’t Notice It

You might have missed it, but Angelina Jolie was on the set of the same movie with her daughter. We don’t read credits at the end of films very often, but sometimes the choice of actors may surprise us.

We at Bright Side uncovered 10 kid-parent duos that were on the set of the same movie and we would like to share them with you.

1. Vivienne Jolie-Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Maleficent

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt played a young princess Aurora in Maleficent because all of the other kids were terrified by Angelina Jolie: “The other 3- and 4-year-old [performers] wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv.”

2. Melissa McCarthy’s daughter Vivian Falcone in Thunder Force

Melissa McCarthy’s daughter Vivian Falcone actually was once on the set of the same movie. She played the younger version of Lydia in Thunder Force.

3. Alice Richmond and Tina Fey in 30 Rock

Tina Fey’s daughter Alice, who was 7 years old at the time, played a young version of Liz Lemon in episodes of 30 Rock. She appeared in a flashback scene where Lemon recalled her first wedding experience.

4. Mamie Gummer and Meryl Streep in Evening

In 2007’s Evening, Meryl Streep and her daughter Mamie Gummer shared the screen. Mamie played the role of a young Lila Wittenborn with her mother who was playing the present-day version.

5. Mark Sheppard and William Morgan Sheppard in Doctor Who

Mark Sheppard played a younger version of his father William Morgan Sheppard 3 times. They appeared in this duo in Doctor Who episodes, on NCIS, and on Mysterious Island.

6. Atandwa and John Kani in Black Panther

T’Chaka is a fictional character from Black Panther. John Kani portrayed this character and Kani’s son Atandwa played his younger self.

7. Annie Starke and Glenn Close in The Wife

In 2018, Glenn Close took the role of Joan Castleman in the drama The Wife. It was a story of a woman whose husband was chosen for the Nobel prize. The younger version of this character appeared in flashbacks played by Annie Starke, the daughter of Glenn Close.

8. Eva Amurri Martino and Susan Sarandon in Dead Man Walking

Eva Amurri Martino is the daughter of actress Susan Sarandon. One of her first big breaks in the cinema industry was playing the younger version of her mother’s character, Sister Helen Prejean, in Dead Man Walking.

9. Domhnall and Brendan Gleeson in the Harry Potter series

We remember Brendan Gleeson from his role of Alastor Moody in the Harry Potter series. We didn’t even realize that Brendan’s son, Domhnall Gleeson, appeared with him.

10. Lily-Rose Melody Depp and Johnny Depp in Yoga Hosers

Johnny Depp shared the screen with his daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp. She was 15 years old at that time and it was in the comic-book film Yoga Hosers.
