Many children are ditching mom and dad for their parents’ first names, and it’s not always a sign of disrespect. While some kids do it because their parents have a very low-key authority, others simply try to push the boundaries and see what they can get away with. And some parents like to be called by their first names and encourage their kids to do so.

It's awful to call your mom or dad by their first names. You only have 2 ppl in the whole world that you can call mom or dad. A mom is mom to only her kids. A dad is dad to only his kids.
