A Man Secretly Sneak an Engagement Ring in Photos With His Fiancée a Month Before He Openly Proposed

Since we were little, most of us have probably fantasized about our wedding proposal, picturing enormous celebrations with flowers and fireworks everywhere. But the story we’re going to share today is a fantastic example of how sometimes we can be more surprised than we expected. Edi, the story’s protagonist, was wondering how to propose to his girlfriend, but then he made the funny decision to photograph the ring just out of her sight and create a compilation of pics.

Edi was wondering about how to pop the question to her.

When Edi Okoro was trying to figure out how to propose to his girlfriend, Cally, he envisioned something different yet still unexpected. However, because he deems himself a “spontaneous improviser,” he could not plan a conventional proposal, so he transformed it into a memorable but hilarious scenario.

He writes in his post, “Those who have gone through this, you want to propose in a way that speaks to you as a person and couple.” Okoro had planned to propose to his girlfriend and had even picked a spectacular ring. But, as eager as he was to pop the big question, it had to be the right time.

“Some plan a flash mob, a fancy meal, or even arrange a marry me sign. I couldn’t do it,” he said, revealing that if he had booked a getaway or a lavish lunch, his girlfriend would have known immediately that he was ready to propose. Thus, he took the ring everywhere, “hoping the ’moment’ would arise in line with my spontaneous style.”

He decided to spice up his proposal and do something unconventional.

Eventually, according to Okoro, he started bringing the ring around with him and was determined to start documenting the episodes. He eventually acquired about 20 photos and 2 movies, all of which showed Read without her realizing that she was being photographed with her future engagement ring.

It turned into a competition with himself, and the outcome is hilarious. “The idea was to take as many photos as possible, in more daring scenarios, until I found the perfect moment to propose, or until I got caught, at which point I would propose!” Okoro wrote.

Some photos were taken at their house while Read was facing the other way. Others were taken while Read was sleeping, completely unaware of the ring’s existence — it was even in her hand at one point in the compilation.

When Edi chose to embark on this “adventure,” he tested his luck, proving that there is no such thing as the right timing, only good chances. Even though it took him a while to propose, nothing beats the amusement of these photographs, which they will cherish in the future.

Over the course of about a month, he continually carried the covert ring with him and captured all these pictures. While scrolling through the photos, we can see him showing off the ring on outdoor adventures or while shopping, and in each one of them, we can clearly spot Edi’s emotions. His face is full of pure and genuine joy, and every picture conveys his excitement over the impending proposal.

The long-awaited proposal

After many shots and amusing videos, Edi eventually felt it was time to reveal the secret he had concealed from his fiancée for over a month. Okoro said in another post that he’d finally proposed to Read, and she said “yes” without hesitation.

“We took this photo not long after she said YES,” he wrote. “She didn’t know about this library until several weeks later.” He added, “My smile is a ’you know nothing, Cally Read’ smile.”

He doesn’t say anything about what happened during the big announcement, but we think she was overjoyed to see how her future husband had shown his immense love for her.
