Adele to the Rescue! Singer Stops Concert to Defend a Fan

Adele is always looking out for her fans, even during her concerts. On August 26, she halted her show to get a fan out of a sticky situation that was unfolding among the crowd. The moment was caught on camera, and the singer is being praised for her quick action.

The British superstar did everything in her power to stop a fan from being hassled while he was trying to enjoy her show at the Colosseum in Las Vegas. Adele abruptly stopped performing the song Water Under the Bridge, from her third studio album, 25, after she noticed a crowd member being forced to sit down by a security staff member.

The fan, who identifies himself as juanp_lastra on TikTok, recorded the entire interaction, including the moments when another concertgoer called him for standing during the show. “What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much since I came on for standing up?” she asked the audience. “What’s going on with him? Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you!”

Adele then kept speaking until she was sure the fan wouldn’t face any more trouble from the staff or other crowd members. “Why are you all bothering him?” she asked. “Can you leave him alone, please? They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show. Leave him alone.”

She then turned to the crowd and explained why she had paused her performance. “Sorry, guys. He’s been bothered the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him. He’s here to have fun. All of you are here to have fun,” the 35-year-old singer said before starting her song from the beginning.
