I'm glad that she was okay after having emergency surgery after the twins. I would have been terrified as well, of everything. That sounds like a very traumatic experience. I'm glad that everything has been going well since. I wish them success, joy, and happiness.
Ashley Graham Reveals Husband, 34, Had a Vasectomy After Twins Birth, and Here Is the Curious Reason
With three children under four, Ashley Graham isn’t planning on expanding her family anymore. The 35-year-old, whose last pregnancy had resulted in serious complications, revealed that her husband has gotten a vasectomy. Graham got very candid about the whole experience and explained how relieved she feels now.
Her husband got a vasectomy at 34.
When asked during a recent podcast if she wanted a fourth baby, Graham revealed that her husband, Justin Ervin, is in “full vasectomy mode.” She went on adding how good she feels about it, saying, “I don’t have to be on a pill.”
Graham then noted that the procedure was relatively pain-free for Justin and that he even went shopping right after. She shared, “He was not laid up in bed,” but added that he had to ice that area.
Together through good times and bad times.
Ashley and Justin, who is a videographer, got married in 2010 and waited for nine years before having their first child, Isaac. She shared that she cherishes their decision to wait a few years before starting a family, saying, “I was so glad that we actually were able to have the time to be able to spend with each other.”
The couple didn’t wait too long to expand their family. A year after their firstborn, Ashley was pregnant again; however, she suffered a miscarriage a month later. Speaking about the tragic experience, she said, “It was devastating; it felt like one of the biggest losses I had ever had in my life to date.”
Her last pregnancy was life-threatening.
Graham and Ervin’s wish to have more kids didn’t stop there, and 11 months after their miscarriage, the couple welcomed their twin boys. But things got complicated shortly after the arrival of her babies. Ashley noted, “The night I gave birth to the twins, I hemorrhaged.” She opened up bleeding all of a sudden and quickly losing consciousness.
After the frightful incident, she was confined to her bed for four days and couldn’t walk for a week.
She mentioned that the aftermath of the near-death experience was extremely intense and altered her relationship with her body permanently. The incident deprived her of the confidence and optimism that had propelled her career as one of the world’s most prominent plus-size supermodels.
She and Justin are true soulmates.
Ashley Graham’s motherhood journey hasn’t been always easy, and the fact that she is so open and honest about it makes us admire her even more.
