“Barbie” Star America Ferrera Admits Her Guilty Pleasure Is “Not Showering for a Few Days”

Barbie star America Ferrera made a candid confession during a video interview. As part of a game to test their knowledge of each other’s lives, the film’s director, Greta Gerwig, and co-stars Margot Robbie, Kate McKinnon, and Issa Rae were asked to guess Ferrera’s secret guilty pleasure.

Amidst various food-related guesses, Gerwig eventually suggested that it wasn’t food-related at all. Ferrera answered: “No, I don’t feel guilty about any of those things, but my guilty pleasure would be... I’m going to really regret saying this... It’s not showering for a few days.” Such a candid answer made her colleagues shocked.

Ferrera is not the only star who doesn’t like showering.

America Ferrera is not the first celebrity to be open about her bathing habits. In 2021, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis revealed that they don’t bathe their children every day. As per scientists, there is no ideal frequency for showering.

According to experts, there is no perfect shower routine for everyone. For most people, showering several times per week is considered sufficient, unless they are particularly grimy, sweaty, or have other reasons to shower more frequently. Short showers lasting three or four minutes, with a focus on cleaning the armpits and groin, may be enough to maintain good hygiene. Ultimately, individual needs and preferences should be taken into account when determining the appropriate shower routine.
