Elliot Page, a talented actor and trans icon, shared a touching Instagram post about how gender-affirming care changed his life. It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 and a half years since he came out as a trans man. Since then, he’s been using social media to share his gender journey. In his latest Instagram post, Page shared a topless pic of himself and talked about how gender-affirming care can be a total game-changer for trans people.

On Wednesday, the 36-year-old Oscar nominee known for his role in The Umbrella Academy posted a photo on Instagram without a shirt on and talked about his past struggles with body image. He expressed gratitude for the positive impact that gender-affirming care has had on his life. In his post, he shared his personal journey of overcoming the challenges.

He can finally be comfortable in his own skin.

Page shared, “Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt — or layers and oh so sweaty — constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T-shirt. I never thought I could experience this, the joy I feel in my body. I’m so grateful for what gender-affirming care has allowed me and I look forward to sharing more of my journey soon.”

Page will soon get candid about his life in a memoir titled Pageboy, set to be released in 2023. The star will delve into his personal relationship with his body, as well as his experiences as a globally recognized trans individual. The memoir will cover a broad range of topics, including mental health, love, relationships, and the challenging realities of Hollywood.

In 2020, Page publicly announced that he was transgender and used the pronouns he/they.
