I hope that she can find someone to have a wonderful loving relationship with and that she doesn't let social media interfere with her life choices in that matter or any other. I wish her happiness.
“I Am Not a Little Girl,” A Young Woman Is Trapped in the Body of an 8-Year-Old Due to a Strange Disease

Can you imagine growing older, but your body doesn’t develop accordingly? This happened to Shauna Rae, and it has certainly been quite an experience for her. Still, the young woman hasn’t let her illness stop her life and does everything to continue enjoying her day-to-day life as if nothing happened to her.
When Shauna Rae was just six months old, she faced a fierce battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer that left a series of consequences in her life, despite overcoming it thanks to chemotherapy treatments. Today, she leads an ordinary life; she dedicates herself to her studies, enjoys nights out, has fun with her friends, and experiences love. However, at 23, she can’t go unnoticed.
Shauna’s body was trapped in that of an 8-year-old girl as a result of the brain disease that affected her from an early age. Although she has managed to accept her situation, she assures that it is not easy to deal with people’s reactions. As she has told in several interviews, the hormonal sequels derived from her battle against brain cancer have left deep traces in her body. Despite having overcome the disease, her physical growth has been affected and has moved away from the normal rhythm that would be expected.
The pituitary gland, located at the base of the brain and about the size of a pea, plays a crucial role in the body. Known as the master control gland, it produces hormones that influence the growth and functioning of other glands in the body. The young woman reports that she faces daily questions every time she wants to enjoy a night out, visit a bar, work out at the gym, or even consult about getting a tattoo.
While Shauna understands that people perceive her as a girl, she also expresses how exhausting it is to constantly remind herself that she is a woman: “If you saw me, you’d think I was a normal girl doing normal girl things with my fun, crazy family, but the truth is, I’m not a girl. I’m a woman.”
In fact, Shauna’s mother, in a candid confession, revealed that she has often come under fire from people who judge her for “allowing” her 23-year-old daughter to dress her age, even though she physically looks like an 8-year-old.
But that is not the only difficulty Shauna has to live with, and finding a partner, given her condition, can be quite a challenge. The young woman had a romantic relationship with Dan Swygart, a 27-year-old influencer who creates videos about some of the places he visits around the world.
For the public, the relationship was questionable because, according to some people, they did not look normal together and this became “disturbing.” For others, he simply wanted to take advantage of her fame, considering that TLC launched a reality show about her life. Finally, the couple broke up and claimed that having received so much hate on the Internet had played a big role in their decision.
As difficult as her life may seem, Shauna makes sure she doesn’t let anything stop her from having a good time. Thus, she makes it very clear that happiness is a matter of attitude and that, even if trapped in the body of a child, she can still have lots of fun. She is definitely an example worth following.
