Jason Momoa Fell for Lisa Bonet at Age 8 When He Saw Her on TV, and 18 Years Later His Dream Came True

The future movie star was just a young boy when the TV star stole his heart, but he decided that someday he was going to make her his wife. As a result, Lisa Bonet found happiness in this world, all because of the eternal love of a hopeless romantic.

It was love at first sight for Jason Momoa.

Back in the ’80s, Lisa Bonet was one of the leading stars on the hit television series, The Cosby Show. Among the show’s many fans was future Hollywood star, Jason Momoa. He instantly fell for the gorgeous Bonet and knew she was meant for him. And although she was 12 years older than him, the wide-eyed boy’s mind was firmly set on her.

Momoa once revealed in an interview the exact moment he decided on his future. “Ever since I was 8 years old and I saw her on TV, I was like ’Mommy, I want that one. I’m gonna stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m gonna get you,’” he said. “I’ve always wanted to meet her. She was always a queen.”

In 2005, Jason was lucky enough to run into Bonet and he wasn’t going to waste the moment he’d always dreamt about. Lisa recalled that she was quickly smitten by Momoa’s determination. “In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do,” revealed Monet. “He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style!” Their relationship started shortly after their first meeting, but the couple only got married in 2017.

He accepted Bonet’s past and created a tight-knit family.

Winning over Bonet wasn’t the only thing on Momoa’s agenda — he also needed to get along with her ex-husband Lenny Kravitz and their daughter Zoe. Surprisingly, things turned out better than anyone could’ve expected and with time, Momoa made everyone feel lucky to be a part of this new family. Momoa is getting along wonderfully with Bonet’s daughter and became a second father to her. She even calls him “papa bear!”

As for Lenny Kravitz, he’s fallen victim to Momoa’s charm as well and became close friends with his ex-wife’s new husband. Kravitz said in an interview, “Our families are blended. I love [Bonet’s] husband — he’s like a brother to me — and I love [their] kids.”

Momoa also gave Kravitz a special skull ring just like the one he has so they can match. Zoe is a lucky girl to have her dad and stepdad be on such good terms — that’s some double love right there!

Momoa and Bonet’s love also gifted them with a pair of kids who completed their unique family. The couple has a daughter and a son and both are spitting images of their parents with curly long hair, wide smiles, and a mischievous sparkle in their eyes.

The famous couple might seem like strict parents as they limit their kids’ screen time, but it’s really for their own good. Bonet once commented on their methods and said, “I feel strongly about remaining as media-free as we can. I really want to cultivate my children’s imaginations. I love that they can go off and play for hours making paper airplanes.” Momoa also encourages his kids to exercise and often joins them. One of their favorite activities is rock climbing.

Momoa still worships his wife and does everything to keep her happy.

The thing about Momoa and Bonet’s relationship that makes us swoon is that he’s still crazy about her. Momoa’s words about his wife speak volumes. “My woman is my queen. And if you hold your woman as a goddess, take care of her and hold her right, you’re going to be a happy man,” the actor said. Lisa is truly one lucky woman.

Bonet once praised her soulmate and said, “What’s cool about Jason is that he’s an alpha male who stands for love and family.
